ZINC / EATING FISH

I am taking one tablet of zinc per day. I hope this is OK. My facial skin

looks fine but I noticed a rash on the back of my arms that will not go

away.

Another thing that I noticed, when I eat fish (not shelfish)the next day my

skin looks good. I was never a fish eater but everyone tells me how good it

is for your skin so I'm forcing myself to eat it once per week. I've tried

Salmon, fluke and sole and after eating each, my skin looked good the next

day. Has anyone else had this experience. Fran

Fran,

I've been taking capsules of fish body oils (sorry this sounds

gross!) that is high in Omega-3 oils. These supplements really help

my skin stay soft and smmoth. Could it be that the fish you're

eating has large amounts of these oils? I know that salmon has a

high amount of Omega-3 oils though I'm not sure about the other types

of fish you mention.

Take care!

Matija - This is definitely the case. It's the oils that help. My mother

and grandfather who both love fish always had nice skin. I told my mother

today about the fish helping my skin and she said that sardines in

particular have lots of good oils for the skin. Not sure if I can handle

sardines, I'm just getting into eating fish and it's hard for me because I

never really liked it, but I thought I'd pass this along. Fran
