Jo Lynn,

Homeopathic Caulophyllum worked well for me. It is a homeopathic version of blue cohosh. It will only work if your body is ready. No side effects. :)

I haven't been on here in a while and withdrawl sucks. My sil was babysitting my children and while doing that she was on here while a storm went through and fried my modem :(

Well a little about me. I am 25 (will be 26 on Thursday :(((( ) year old mother of three and #4 on the way. Audrey is 9, will be 3 on my due date (8/30/00) and Dominick ph born to the angels March 23, 1996. I have been with my husband for 10 years and married for three July 20, 1997.

Well I am getting really anxious to have this baby. I was wandering what natural methods I could use to go into labor. HELP!!!!!!

Thanks in advance

Jo Lynn

black cohosh, and blue cohosh are roots.. and not street drugs.. they come in

tincture form, in a dropper bottle, and are sold at most health food stores..

Just to clarify!!

I'd say my body is ready. I was 2cm last week. Yesterday I was 2+cm and 75% effaced. I like the sound of what you reccomend it sounds a lot less nasty. I don't know cohash sounds like a street drug or something. Will have to go tonight when dh gets home and get me some :) Thank you

Jo Lynn,

Blue Cohosh is an herb. It can be very strong and I react very strongly to herbs, so I prefer homeopathics. Many women have great luck taking Blue and Black Cohosh in herb form but I didn't want to risk it. I have several sensitivities to herbs so I am very cautious with them.

Being dilated and effaced doesn't guarantee readiness for labor. I was at 4cm (ob could stretch to 5cm) and 50% effaced at my appointment 2 days before my induction, but after taking blue cohash every three hours the day before my induction I was exactly the same the first time they checked me at the hospital, and the contractions that I was having pre-pitocin were barely registering on the monitor or with me. Because they wanted me delivered, it took pitocin to get my contractions going to where my body could finish the job.

This is what I was told by a friend to use. What do you think?

Jo Lynn

Start inserting Evening Primrose Oil or Borage Seed Oil capsules at night and even during the day. This will soften up your cervix. Buy tonic water and drink, drink, drink. There is an ingredient called quinine which is a natural muscle contractor....supposed to kick in contractions. You can take black or blue cohosh to get your uterus going. The tincture (liquid) version under the tounge of the blue is supposed to be the miracle herb.
