Guest guest
Hi Just have a quick question I keep all the emails from yall that I feel will be important after my surgery.Well I was just wondering if I could get a list of things that yall have found to be the highest in protein. My problem is that I dont eat.Which I am trying to change.I have been eating breakfast every morning normally a bagel with a little cream cheese and milk..lunch I really dont eat and dinner is normally a meat veggie and potates noodles, something like that. Anyhow to make this short I just wanna make sure I know the highest protein things so I can get them in ok enough for now ....Tina
Guest guest
Hi tina I am 5 weeks out, and im learning that protein shakes will pretty much be your main source of protein thru your life, of course u will be eating foods too but i know i have to have 65-80 grams of protein a day so with only eating an ounce or two of food per meal its hard to get to that total with out the shakes. try vitalady.com order some samples of the different protein shakes they are 1.50 each. My fav is the extreme pure pro grape, i just ordered a 2 pd container of it. Take Care Pam C

Guest guest
Tina, Tina, Tina, YOU MUST EAT to get in protein sweetie! Some examples are as follows: Meats, poultry, fish (awesome protein), cottage cheese, cheese, dry powdered milk (add to things such as protein drinks, etc.), sesame tahini, eggs, egg beaters, soy products, tofu (I HATE it, but some like it), peanut butter, soy peanut butter, legumes, milk, yogurt, protein shakes, drinks, bars (watch sugar content in all)....these are some examples I have right now, but it's a start! One thing I try to do, is when having things like eggs, I'll add cheese and milk to make higher in protein (scrambled), or if peanut butter, although high in fat, within reason it's ok, just be careful what you put them on (AK-MAK crackers are high protein source as well...found in your local market). Another important thing to do, is make yourself eat 5-6 MINI " meals " per day. I'm not talking steak, potatoes and veggies each time, but little portions of things higher in protein, or fresh fruit/veggies here and there for nutrients. Suggestion: In the a.m., rather than a bagel, how about a 1/2 English muffin with peanut butter and milk? Toss in a bit of dried milk to your regular milk, that's a few grams more of protein! Snack: Cottage cheese on an ak-mak cracker? Lunch: turkey from deli, cheese, rolled together? Snack#2: Yogurt, Dinner: Baked, grilled or broiled fish, with a bit of veggies? Snack again, maybe some soy nuts? I'm just tossing things around for you, use your imagination, you'll be golden! (Sometimes my imagination goes WAY TOO FAR, and I create one heck of a mess) Dawn PROTEIN Hi Just have a quick question I keep all the emails from yall that I feel will be important after my surgery.Well I was just wondering if I could get a list of things that yall have found to be the highest in protein. Guest guest
Check out a book like Sugarbusters or Dr. Atkins. While these diets are really too restrictive (especially Atkins) on carbs, they have really handy food ideas for high protien meals along with lists of really high carb foods that you may want to avoid for the most part. One thing that and I found yummy and high in protein are soy nuts. They come in different flavors and are crunchy and snacklike, so you can satisfy those munching cravings while getting in very good nutrition. -- S PROTEIN Hi Just have a quick question I keep all the emails from yall that I feel will be important after my surgery.Well I was just wondering if I could get a list of things that yall have found to be the highest in protein.
