Please, can some one let me know how to use the Vita Oil on my face?

I am on a 40 mg. daily accutane tx and my skin is extremely dry and

scaly. Whenever I try to use any kind of moisturizer lotion my skin

reacts very badly: redness, itching, bumps, etc. I am thinking in

using the Vita Oil as a way to moisturize my skin. Do you think that

this oil can work for such a purpose?

Enrique,

The only way to find out if Vita-Oil (or any other oil) will work for you,

is to try it. Start with a trial size and give it a try. I believe your skin

is so dry and sensitive right now that moisturizing lotions which usually

have many ingredients, are irritating your skin. The role of an oil on dry

irritated skin is to create a barrier to trap water on the skin. Oils

usually have few ingredients and do not have irritating preservative system.

However, certain oils are better than others. The best way to use an oil is

to apply it on wet skin; then gently pat dry. Once the epidermal barrier is

restored, then your skin will be able to tolerate a moisturizing lotion. At

this point, you can add the lotion.
