Guest guest
You really need to do what you feel would be best for you. I know that sometimes when I am feeling under the weather. I continue with my workouts, at a bit slowing pace...I try to sweat out my cold. I really believe it works. But, sometimes it just is not gonna happen. I am to bushwhacked, and I just have to let my body rest...then in two-three days come back full force. Maybe try one workout, slow it up a bit and see how it goes. If you feel ok, take that route. If not let your body rest. As for the dinner. If you feel that will trip you up, either take it as your free day, or drink a ton of water, and concentrate on the purpose, as to why your there in the first place. I don't think it is for the food. Take a protein bar, or a pre-mixed shake with you, just in case. Hope you feel better soon. ~ Grace Gill <mcnally101_99@...> wrote: Alright... I'm half way through this. I'm feeling stronger and I can see the progress. My dear hubby (Dh) can see the progress too. So naturally now, I get hit with the sinus infection, and lung congestion. I'm having a hard time breathing when I just walk... let alone try to run, and lifting uh uh. I am so tired. The worst part of it is part of me wants to just sit down and have a pity party. Grab the beer and nachos and sit outside with Dh. It would be easier. Course it isn't what I want though... I've got another fundraiser on Thursday... and it's at 5 -7, then dinner afterwards. It's sparkling juices, and cheeses. at the fundraiser, and then dinner, well, dinner. So... looking for ways to minimize the damage. Also... am I setting myself up to fail if I don't keep exercising? Or would I be better off to rest up, see the doc, get the antibiotics and then go back to it full of good health. Guest guest
I say rest and get better. I was sick for 2 weeks (no exercise at all) my 1st challenge and a week and 1/2 (no exercise) the 2nd challenge. Both times I had bronchitis and really felt BAD! I don't know if I could have done better but I did do good on those challenges. Michele T On Wed, 10 Aug 2005 10:44:51 -0700 (PDT) Grace Gill <mcnally101_99@...> writes: > Alright... Guest guest
As long as you eat clean short term lack of exercise is not going to make much difference. Stuff always happens in our lives to sidetrack us from a workout. Sick kids, sick ourselves, too late hours at work, vacations, you name it, it happens. But eating clean is controllable so if you can stick to that part you'll be way ahead. Stasia
Guest guest
The body is an amazing thing and sometimes your immune system will shut down telling your body it needs a reat!! I get sick usually once a year, and I know it is from just pushing myself, and doing too much. I say take the time to get well, and then use the renewed energy to dive into BLF.
