My son has been in his band for a week now. He has adjusted very

quickly. Sleep isn't really a problem. I hope that will be the

case for you too. As far as decorating. I just left it white and am

using Chicago Bears (as we live near Chicago)car decals and some

scrapbooking stickers. They seem to hold up pretty good. If you

ever want to change the theme, they just come off and you can start

over. I was originally going to paint it, but after reading other

articles. It seems that it chips and comes off fairly easily.

Since I am not very creative either, it seemed like a lot of work.

Maybe it isn't since I never tried it I really don't know.

Good luck

Sleeping shouldn't be too big of a problem. Some kids do have a

little problem adjusting to wearing it at night because they don't

have that nice flat area to rest their head on anymore. But that

only last a day or two usually. I hope your son adjusts easily.

As far as decorating, stickers and rub-on decals seem to be easiest

for the non-creative type. THey can also be changed if you want.

There is a file in our files section on decorating tips, it think.

Maybe you can check that out too. Good Luck!

Terry-

My son Rhys had NO problems adjusting to the band. He sleeps fine

with it and did from the start. I asked the OT what the #'s were on

kids and adjusting. She said 95% of the kids have no issues, 4% cry

and fuss with it and 1% hate it. So, hope that helps! As for

decorating, go to 's, Joanne's or any other craft store and

buy tickers (I bought the Mambi brand). Then just stick away! We

put his name on the front and then animal stickers all around. It

looks so cute, is easy and only cost $3!

Hope that helps!

Terry,

Neither of my kids had any trouble adjusting to the band. We took a

couple days until they wore it 24/7 so their body temperatures could

adjust.

Consider decorating it with stickers. Craft stores or scrapbooking

stores have some really great stuff. It's simple and easy to change!

Let us know how Luke's fitting goes :)
