Guest guest
I'm glad he is adjusting well. Keep an eye on the red spot and if it continues to be a problem call your OT. Guest guest
That was a good idea not to leave it on. You need to know how long it took to fade. Since tomorrow is Saturday and the ortho probably isn't around. I would suggest putting it back on him in the morning if the red spot is gone. If it's not gone then don't put it back on and call the ortho on Monday. If it is gone then put it on and check for redspots every 2-3 hours. If any redspots fade within an hour then increase the time wearing an hour at a time. Still call the ortho on Monday. If it comes back and doesn't fade in an hour then leave it off until Monday. The Easter Seals eval was today. I should post all of this to the other board and I probably will just copy and paste Anyway, I really like this lady. She is nice and friendly and seems very competent. So the summary is Kiersten is doing just fine - whew. This is kind of what I thought but I was still worried from the last eval. Turns out they used the 3 month and the 6 month eval on her at 4 1/2 months. So she was above one and below one - duh. Anyway now that we are approved she can still come in a preventative mode to ensure Kiersten meets her milestones. Yeah. So we will work on rolling, preparing to crawl, then crawling and standing, etc. Her fine motor and speech seem fine and that's what she was referred for, oh well I'll take it. We discussed her gagging and projectile vomitting. She thinks it may be related to the tort. She said quite a few of her tort kids have speech, mouth, swallowing type issues. So she is going to do some brushing therapy with her mouth. I'm going to get a baby toothbrush this weekend. na, 2 1/2 yrs, DOC Grad Feb 04, Tort Resolved Kiersten, 7 1/2 months, DOC 1/10/06, Tort www.thefilyaws.com > > Hi everyone! > > I wanted to let you all know that Rhys got his band today. Guest guest
Hi , His band probably needs to be adjusted, it's very common in the beginning of treatment to need an adjustment or a few before the just right fit is found. It's good that you didn't put it on him tonight. Any red mark that lasts more than an hour needs to be addressed. --- In Plagiocephaly , " az_melanie " <chattymomma@c...> wrote: > > Hi everyone! > > I wanted to let you all know that Rhys got his band today. Guest guest
Thanks for the tips! After I put him to bed last night, he woke up an hour later and the red spot was gone, so I left it off a little more and when we put him back to bed, I put it back on. He slept all night and when he woke up the red spot was there, but not as dark, so after it being off about 15 min it was gone! Yeah .
