ok, just to start out, I KNOW no one here is my doctor... and that really it

all depends on when I finally get full information... but it's been close to

16 days post scan- currently waiting for a new onco, and setting up appts,

etc. and I am wondering if anyone has had a similar report!

" The patient was scanned following oral ingestion of a capsule containing

3.8mCi I-131. The entire body was then scanned.

Normal uptake in the stomach and bladder noted.

Abnormal uptake in the left side of the neck, superior to and lateral to the

expected location of the thyroid. Its possible that this represents salivary

uptake but metastatic disease cannot be totally excluded. "

that info came through on 10/11/02, and I've heard nothing else.

What I am wondering (hoping for) I guess is some idea of what kind of

salivary thing could be uptaking the I-131 to the left and front of where my

thryoid used to be... just to temporarily make me feel better while I wait.
