For a couple years I experienced an intermittent jabbing pain behind one

eye, floaters, and flashing lights. The pain was intense, but fortunately

it was just momentary. And for even a longer time, I had kind of an achy

pain in my eye, like my eyebrows were swollen. In retrospect, I suspect my

eye problems started when I began taking chlorella, cilantro juice, and 200

mg. ALA 3 times a day, but I can't remember the timing details well enough

to know for sure.

My brother came for a short visit. He told me about the extreme iritis he

used to have in one eye, which was so bad he was almost blind in it. It was

also extremely painful, and he had to take high doses of prednisone to try

to control it. He then had his amalgams removed and his root canal cleaned

out. He had considerable relief immediately, and eventually even with bad

protocol IV chelation the iritis totally cleared up.

His story was what I needed to finally go ahead with my own amalgam removal

the next month. I had 8 amalgams and 14 incompatible composites removed

under IV sedation. 90% of my eye problems cleared up immediately, and the

rest cleared up over a few months of doing DMSA according to the Cutler

protocol and adding ALA after 3 months. The return of any symptoms did seem

to be off-round.

Eye pain is not something you will find referenced as a mercury toxicity

symptom. After my revision, I have found references that say mercury

settles in the eye, so I felt some satisfaction then in finding an

explanation for my experience.

Beats me why doctors can't even accept the most logical explanation for a

problem if it involves mercury as the cause. Someone with less certaintude

than you would have been swayed by that doctor's guesses and never have

gotten relief.

> Is there any place online that I can get information about the mineral

transport issues? I have the Amalgam Illness book - is there something in

there. I am sorry I can't remember my brain is too foggy. I was told today

by my ND that it could be caused by autoimmune and he is not " buying " the

mercury concept. ARGHHH!!! GRRRRR!!!! I am so tired of people not

believing me. Why is it that I feel better when I chelate? I told my ND

that I had pain behind my left eye and started chelating again and it went

away. He told me it was mold and that DMSA would help carry that out.

HUH??? I am so tired of these friggen Dr's. Thank goodness my MD who is

helping with the Chelation believes me. *sigh*
