Our orthotist charged $2200 for the Starband. That price included casting,

measurements and all adjustments. Our insurance paid 100% (Keystone East, a

BCBS HMO in Pennsylvania). Whether your insurance pays or not depends on

the contract that your employer has negotiated. We are lucky. My husband

works for a major manufacturing company and so our benefits are pretty good.

Each insurance carrier has many different levels of contract options so even

if someone else has the same carrier they may have different benefits.
