Guest guest
Hi Audrey, I think your letter looks great! I'm wondering, though, if it might be good to add something about how this condition can cause problems later in life if not corrected, and that it's not just about having a child with a round head. Also, in addition to tummy time, maybe mention about repositioning? The reason I say that is because my ped did stress tummy time, but he never told us about repositioning and we happened to be doing everything to increase our son's flattening without knowing it. He also never told us that head flattening (he never mentioned the word plagiocephaly) could be so severe that it needed to be treated, and that it could have consequences later in life. Should I go ahead and draft a similar letter and post it here so we can make sure we have the same message before sending it to Abby? -Amy mother to Noah, 7 months, STARbanded 3/17/06 > > > > > > I was reading Dear Abby and thinking about how > > many > > > others read her column.
