Guest guest
Okay, it's been a couple of weeks since Aaorn Sorkin got busted, but I still thought these wisecracks from the TV column in the April 18 San Francisco Chronicle (which has been littering the floor of my car for the past two weeks) were pretty funny. Hello, my name is Sorkin and -- aaaaigggghhh, you've got a gigantic elephant flying above your head! So television's hottest writer was allegedly carting some mushrooms through an airport, and not the kind you throw in a salad or on top of a pizza. Hmmm. Given the frenetic pace of " The West Wing, " we find this choice of recreational buzzwork extremely odd. Mushrooms? We'd never have guessed. Though, factoring in some dosage errors, it may partly explain " SportsNight. " <snip> You'd think with all that walking and talking on " The West Wing, " that " trails " and distortion might be a problem for Sorkin. And what about last- second script changes? " OK, we need Leo to dress like a polka-dotted schoolgirl with a lollipop. . . . Uh, what's the problem? " <snip> Sorkin: " The Muppets scare the bejesus out of me. " Thus ends the " Milk the Cow " portion of today's column. From here on, no more mushroom jokes. <snip> Sorkin: " The Olsen twins creep me out. " Whoops. We slipped. The whole column is at http://sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?file=/chronicle/archive/2001/04/18/DD2 01118.DTL --Bob Marshall
