He has to wear it 22 hours. So he gets 1 hour when he wakes and 1 hour before bed. I am just getting so impatient!

Now I'm really confused...what is the difference between and active and passive helmet and which one is the Hanger NIC band? We are waiting to get my son's helment and now I'm worried reading about not seeing progress and the posts regarding active and passive...

What does it mean to have an active band? How old did you say your son was? I was under the impression also that the helmet was just holding growth in the certain areas and allowing growth in others...

Yea he was banded 2 days before he turned 9 months to be exact lol.

He (plastic surgeon) said he does. I dont think so all the pictures look the same to me. I was told by the PS and the ortho that the helmet might not work for him because he is very mild. He might just be stuck with his head. I just want the ear pushed back the most the rest I could live with. Hopefully now that the tort is completely gone something will happen.He pretty much grew out of it or he had to hold his head right for the helmet because it went away when he got his band.

With a passive band a babies head isn't molded or anything. They just put a helmet on so the head can grow into it. Usually for younger babies.. I am not positive that's how they are. I am sure there will be a few people that can help you more. I believe there is a file on the board.
