Hi Ree. After I had my baby, I went from hypo to

hyper and needed to have my dosage changed. But I feel

good at this level (75 mcg), so my endo is going to

keep me at this dose since it's not too far off.

That would be great if you had the postpartum kind and

you could get off of the meds. Loosing weight

definately affects your dosage level. Just make sure your

getting your levels checked frequently enough until your

feeling better.

Debbie

Thanks, Debbie. I think I may have leveled off.

I've been feeling pretty good for a couple weeks on

this dosage (100 mcg). I'm a little tired, but I

haven't been sleeping that well with all that's going on.

I think it's just sleep deprivation rather than

hypo. Hope everyone else is feeling good. I'll tell

you, as bad as hypo is, hyper (at least for me) was 10

times worse. Ugh!

Ree

I used to love in Athens. There is Respie care through Hope Haven. My daughter went there many times. They have a house on Whit road right up from the elementary school. Have you contacted the University of Georgia. They have many programs to help in the community and there is also a chapter of Autism Society of America in athens. They have many resources that may help you.Marilyn Pyles <hillbillyhelper2@...> wrote:

Hi Everyone,

We went into the Ortho's office yesterday for my dd's one week check

up. I told the ortho that the band keeps slipping up off her

browline and rotates to where it touches both ears but I also said

that if it needs to be that way for anticipation of growth then it's

fine. The ortho made some adjustments the main one being he put a

piece of foam along the bottom back of the STARband and now it fits

really tight. It gives her " angry eye " even worse then it did before

and it's very tight on her cheek. She has been such a good girl so

far and I don't want that to change. She hasn't been wearing her

band since yesterday afternoon, so she's gone all night and a day

not wearing it. I made an appt to go back into the ortho's office

today for another adjustment. I just hope once we put the band back

on her she won't flip out about it. It seems so silly to me that he

did that and it made it that way. I'm just so frustrated with this

process and we've only been in it for a little over a week. Any

advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Hi Camerin,

How much experience does your ortho have? The only thing that should

ever be added to a band is moleskin. NO band should ever fit tightly.

Can you post a pic of Lorelei in her newly adjusted band? I don't want

to scare you but an ill fitting band can cause your baby's head to

become worse. My fingers are crossed that your ortho is experienced.

Keep us posted.
