ME TOO!!! Well, my DD's - but I wanna know more too! My dd has left tort (oppisite of your ds) My dd's facial asymmeties are more noticeable in the mirror and her gumline/jaw is drawn up on left side sloping down to the right. I can really only see it when she is crying and her mouth is opening and closing - you can see the leftside meets the top before the right side. I was afraid it was hemifacial microsomia - but the cranio-facial team told me no because her ear was not involved. But they also said that there is nothing to do for it yet even if it was. Which left me feeling like maybe they were softening the blow. Anyway, if there are others who are experiencing the same - I'd love to hear about it!

Jen,

I was just assuming that a mild case of hemifacial microsomia might

not involve the ear, but according to the faces-cranio.org site, it

alway involves the ear and jaw even in mild cases. We went to the

neuro to rule out cranio, then started helmet therapy. I guess

craniofacial is next. I looked at Luli's pics. She is adorable. I

love the pics, especially the ones with her sisters and brothers,

and the feet. I love baby feet. Her facial asymmetry is similar to

my son's. I just kind of thought that some of it would correct with

the helmet. We have seen improvement in the head shape, especially

the back right where it was flat. It has started rounding out quite

nicely. The bossing on the front right is not near as big as it

was. But that left side, I thought that the dent would be less

pronounced. Also, that side has the eye that our ped said was a

clogged tear duct. It waters all the time and gets ookey. We have

drops for the ookey. I need to post pictures sometime, never done

it before. Feel free to email me.
