Guest guest
I'm assuming you are getting a STARband since it's coming from FL. According to their website the band needs to be fitted two weeks from the casting. I would be concerned about it taking three weeks. Why is there going to be such a delay? You are right. Babies grow very quickly at 5 months. My son was casted the day before he turned 5 months. He was fitted for his band 5 days later. You don't want her to grow too much between the fitting. Good luck with the appointment on Tuesday. Mom to Dane 4 yo and Cecelia 12 mo (DOC Grads) --- In Plagiocephaly , " nicole " <fanofleesa@y...> wrote: > > Hi everyone! Guest guest
Hi , No, 3 weeks between casting/scanning and fitting is not usual. No more than 2 weeks should lapse between casting and fitting. I wouldn't be surprised if you have fit issues from the start. 3 weeks it too long. What is the name of the place your going to? What is the name of the product your using? Do you know how much experience this orthotist has treating plagio babies w/this product? > > Hi everyone! Guest guest
You are right to worry. Three weeks is too long between scanning and fitting. Orthomerica says a band should be fitted within two weeks of a scan. Make sure that the facility you use makes this happen. Let us know. Good Luck. CAROLG > > Hi everyone!
