After wading through months of your subscribers rantings of bad spouses, bad doctors, bad medicines and bad luck, along with all the empty promises to each other about how cyber support really makes a difference, I can not swallow this list's prejudiced attitude about a Gay Fibromyalgia Support Group. Being a gay woman with fibro, you have made me feel less than accepted. For those that believed differently and did not speak up, for those that somehow agreed with the decision, and especially for the list's owners and moderators who made that hateful decision, remember that what goes around, comes around. I don't remember you posting and as I have a son that is gay, I feel that you should not decide on whatever premise that this list is against gay people. I certainly don't and I have been around friends of mine that do not like my son because he is gay and believe me I don't see that on this list. I think that you want to see it on this list so that you can preach against the fact that we are not tolerate. I also see that there is no reason that the member of this list should join your group and if they don't why this makes them against gays, I don't join lists for a number of reasons. One being that I belong to many right now and I are hesitant in joining any more, I think that it is very silly to send a posting like this, it looks to me like you are trying to push the fact that you are gay in our faces and when you get no response decide we are against gays. I have also had a number of gay/lesbian friends and for several years I worked with a group of women in which a full 50% of them were lesbian. The last thing any of them would have accused me of was being " prejudiced " ! I am offended that someone would pre-judge me and my biases or lack thereof in this way!! I believe you are upset because no one here has chosen to join your group? Or are you simply upset because the moderators asked you to stop sending ads for your other group to this one? I would not expect the GuaiNwithFibro moderators to send ads to their Yahoo! group here repeatedly, and if they did, I would certainly understand if the moderators asked them to stop.
