Guest guest
Thank you to everyone who replyed to my cry for help I think someone some where heard your you. My husband went to go talk to the Air Force Aid about the loan and when he got there the rep was hurrying him through the authorization and check signing. My husband stopped him and said we can not live on just $400 a month. The rep looked at him and said you won't they gave you a grant not a loan we do not want the money back. They decided to give us a grant b/c we had documentation of all deniels from the insurance and the state of CA. I guess they saw we tried everything we could and they were are only hope. They said they will not be able to help with any more grantb but are willing to give us a interest free loan if we need more money. Of course my husband tricked me when he got home by acting all upset. When I saw the check for the estimated amount for BOTH helmets I started crying. I have always heard of people being get help from Air Force Aid but never thought they would help me in any way. My husband has donated a couple dollars a month out of his pay check for years. Thank you to anyone who has ever donated to Air Force Aid b/c w/o u they might not have been able to give my little boys the grant. Now we are waiting for UC , Sacramento to let us know how they want the check. My twins should be seen by the end of next week. MY TWINS ARE FINALLY GETTING HELMETS. Thank you to everyone who has been supportive. Just wish all of this could have happened 4 months ago. Since now the boys will not have their helmets on till they are one. Thank you everyone, I have hope again. Sunshine mama to and Vedder ONE on 2/1/

Guest guest
OMG, this post almost brought a tear to my eye. I'm so happy for you that this happened. I think the whole situation is so stressful as it is but to add the stress of dealing with insurance and having to fight about coverage is just too much. That's great that you got a grant for your twins to get the helmets. My dd just started with her STARband this week and she is 10 months old. Hang in there.
