Guest guest
Thanks for asking . Sydney skin looks better today. The red spots seem to have faded. However, she developed a fever today of 101.4 so I took the band off. Do anyone know if bands can cause a fever? Maybe she got a virus but she doesn't have any other symptoms. Right now she's sleeping without it on. I feel bad to lose a day of treatment, so early on but her health is more important. Anyone experience fever with a band? Guest guest
Sandy, No, a band can't cause a fever. She may be getting a virus. If she still has a fever you should take her to her ped. It's good you kept her band off, you should always keep it off when a baby has a fever. Don't worry a day or 2 isn't going to impact her final out come. I hope she's feeling better soon. Keep us posted. > > > > > > > > Hi Sandy, > > > > Some teetering is normal. Guest guest
Hi Sandy. I'm sorry to hear about Sydney's fever. Have you checked with her pediatrician? Try not to worry too much.. probably it's just a cold. I hope Sydney will feel better soon. Andra > > > > > > > > Hi Sandy, > > > > Some teetering is normal. Guest guest
Sandy, The band doesn't cause a fever but should be removed(like you did) when it hits 100. There are a bunch of what I like to call fever viruses going around. Just a fever for a days or so and nothing else. Just had it go through here, lol. Also keep your eye on her the other symptoms might show 24-48 hours after the fever starts. CAROLG > > > > > > > > Hi Sandy, > > > > Some teetering is normal. It got up to 103 degrees this morning. The ped to a blood sample and will call me later to let me know what turns up. Fever virus...very weird. I've never heard anything like that. It freaks me out - makes me think something is really wrong but gives me comfort to know that it could simply be a fever virus. Sandy > > > > > > > > > > Hi Sandy, > > > > > Some teetering is normal. Guest guest
The fever virus is going around BIG TIME! I had it last week and now my daughter has it. Her fever gets up to 105.5 during the night, even with motrin. They said there's nothing they can do though, since it's viral. No other symptoms at first, but towards the end of the virus you may see a cough. I got the cough after the fever went away and so did my daughter.mommy2Antnalex@... wrote: In a message dated 1/13/2006 8:25:04 PM Eastern Standard Time, sandelina@... writes: Very bizarre. I brought her my reg ped. thinking she had a slight fever and wanted her ears checked. She was 104.9. I almost died. i thought they were going to send us to a hospital. They made me undress her and got it down to 104.3 and said it was a virus. The next day it was down to 100-101 then the day after that is was gone. i was freaked!
