<<HI I ordered emu oil and started to use it a week

ago. For a couple of days I was fine, but since

Saturday I have all the redness back, my face is

inflamed and I started to break out. Did any of you

react to emu oil in such a way? Thanks Edith>>

Hi Edith,

Recommendation: Be sure not to slather it on too

thick; this is very easy to do with emu. If your skin

feels greasy you are using too much. Best thing is to

hold a small bottle of emu under warm running water

for a minute or two in order to loosen it up, then

apply a VERY SMALL amount to the face. Wet your hands

with lukewarm water, and smooth out the emu. The water

will increase the spread rate of the emu.

You might be sensitive to emu. If you have done all of

the above and are still having problems, try using

jojoba oil instead. I tolerate emu but find jojoba to

be milder. Again - only use a couple of drops of

jojoba and spread it out with water-moistened hands.

You can usually find jojoba oil at GNC.

  • 1 month later...

purpleemu.com--the emu oil they have has " agreed " with me, very well

I tried some from a local outfit up North in Woodinville, but it's not

quite the same...I'm back to the Purple Emu stuff

By the way, I'm in my fifties, have slightly oily skin, am of medium

complexion...most all moisturizers, sunscreens make my face break out
