I haven't heard of this product yet. Where are you located? Because I

have no background info. on this one, I would recommend you do a bit of

research on it. Be sure it is FDA approved, some insurance companies

will not cover a device that is not. Be sure the orthotist is

experienced in the treatment of plagiocephaly, using this device. Ask

how many babies they have done and what the results were. Ask if there

are any parents you can talk with about thier experience with it. Ask

what formal training they have had. That sort of thing. You will also

want to know if it is a passive or active band/helmet. This can make a

difference in the amount of correction and the length of wear time. How

old is the baby and how severe is the plagio? Sorry if these are repeat

questions, I have been sick. Please let us know what you find out and

if you decide to go with it, keep us updated so we can add the info to

the database for others to use.

Carol,

Christie has info on it, I believe. She was the one that listed it in

the files section. :-)

Here's the info from her posting on this website... I assumed she

and other parents have tried this. Is this the case?

Infant Cranial Interface Liner by Kingsley Mfg. Co.

Unique garments for interface protection - wicking Cool/Max fabric

designed for protecting skin while infant is wearing orthoses to

treat positional plagiocephaly and other head shape deformities.

Only a few brands/types of helmets and bands are used in conjunction

with helmet liners. Please ask your ortho if this product is

compatible, as well as being part of the treatment protocol, of your

baby's brand of helmet or band.

Hi,

No, Christie hasn't used this product. She's our repositioning

moderator. She does A LOT of research for our group, she's awesome.

Why are you looking to use a liner? Is your baby having a bad reaction

to the band/helmet?
