Guest guest
Good Morning All ! Did ya miss me, did ya ? My old computer finally bit the big one, and so I now have a brand new one. This is going to take a little getting used to. The old one was in it's fifteenth year. Need I saw more. I have finally made it through all these back logged emails, and can't even start to reply. I think the one thing that has occurred to me is perhaps obvious, but not often mentioned. The old line is: RAI works for so many people, and they are happy and get on with their lives. So they do not write to lists like this. But what is left out of that discussion is the fact that people on ATDs also get on with their lives and do not write to lists like this ! Then add in all the people in remission ' AFTER ' ATDs that do not write to lists like this ! So if one were to judge the probability of remission by how many of us still stay in touch... and you listened to the RAI promotion while thinking how few success stories are out there about people like me.......... it would be a most unbalanced picture ! Until I found this list, I had never 'spoken' to anyone in remission. Some thing to think about , huh ? -Pam-
Guest guest
>>>The old line is: RAI works for so many people, and they are happy and get >>>on with their lives. So they do not write to lists like this.<<< How many people who have had RAI and have problems and still believe their doctors when they pound into their heads that " it is NOT thyroid related " so they don't go searching? How many people do not have access to the internet? I know for me, when I was so hypO and the depression ruled my life, I didn't have the energy or strength to care, let alone do something about it, until it became to much to bear and I became suicidal. I think there are way more of us RAIers out there who just don't know that their problems are thyroid related! Guest guest
Hey Jody, And with all those " professionals' out there telling patients that its not thyroid related, what do you think the odds are that most of them will suffer in silence? I mean, after all, who wants to be thought crazy? Laurel Re: She's backkkkk ! >>>The old line is: RAI works for so many people, and they are happy and get >>>on with their lives. Guest guest
Pam: Hi! Are you an RAI survivor? Or did I read your message wrong? I'm glad you're back from being without a functioning computer! I actually lasted 11 months without one, saved enough for this monster puppy I'm working on now, and LOVE it! The wait made it worth it! One year with my Athlon and I'm in heaven. Nice to meet you: I'm Ann ---> My Joe has Grave's, RAI March 8th of this year.
