Guest guest
, I don't have that information, but I sure hope someone does. I've seen how productive you can be, so I'd hate to see a little thing like this get in your way!

Guest guest
Just wondering, what is Dr. Slivka's specialty? I found out about the Pittsburgh conference the weekend it happened so I missed out. I was also interested in what he talked about at the conference. TIA Litsa Wife of Darryll w/ PSC
Guest guest
Litsa, Dr. Slivka’s specialty that he talked about was endoscopy. If you look on the UPMC website, it looks a bit more general, but he really impressed me with what he knew about and offered at the conference regarding ERCP and brushings etc…. I guess my curiosity is piqued about it also because I would be interested in his recommendations at one-year post diagnosis. That is where we are with Noah. If he recommends…ERCP, MRCP, colonoscopy or whatever I guess I just want to know. I really value his opinion and since his secretary Terri was so kind to share with us her info, I was hoping to get Noah in to see him should he need any of that testing. Unfortunately, the “direct number” she gave just rings and rings…so…hmmm…I guess I will just call the usual number on the website that Tim was kind enough to provide. J Thanks Tim! Guest guest
Hi Litsa; Dr. Slivka's specialty is endoscopy (e.g. ERCPs). There's a half-page write-up of his talk at the conference in our last newsletter issue (p. 2): http://www.pscpartners.org/NewsVol-2-2.pdf Best regards, Dave (father of (21); PSC 07/03; UC 08/03) > > Just wondering, what is Dr. Slivka's specialty? Guest guest
, The contact information that Tim sent is all correct for Dr. Slivka. I have not been keeping up with the posts lately and I must have missed something about Noah. I hope everything is okay. Dr. Slivka was Todd's primary care for his PSC before Todd moved onto a hepatologist and transplant. He is a top-notch endoscopist and I had great faith in him whenever he did Todd's ERCP's (and there were quite a few of them). He never did routine ERCP's after the first diagnostic ERCP that was done at Mayo-Rochester. He only did them when Todd was having problems...but Todd was transplanted only 2 years after diagnosis. Together in the fight, Whatever it takes!
