Guest guest
Hi I just added the Lab, they also have several other office near the canadian border (Potsdam and Ogdensburg and Watertown). Not sure how cloes they are to the border. If anyone is interested, they can email me or call the number in Syracuse. Don is wonderful and has helped us greatly. I think I will be sticking around, since has a little trouble sleeping at night without his helmet on! Not sure what to do. Rosel > > > > Today, graduated from his Star Band after almost 7 months. Guest guest
Hi Rosel, Thanks for adding the info, did you add yourself, your email address as the group contact? If not, will you please. That way if in the future we have a new member ask about that place we can give them your email address. Do you have the info on the other offices they have? It's probably going to take a little while to adjust to sleeping w/o his band on. I hope he adjusts soon for the sake of your sleep! I'm happy to hear you'll be sticking around!! Take care, > > > > > > Today, graduated from his Star Band after almost 7 > months. I > > > have been reading the posts for a few months, and got some good > > > insights. Guest guest
Awww. Congrats. I hope your son adjusts easily. My son has slept without his helmet a couple of nights because of a rash and once because of a fever. He wasn't bothered without it. So hopefully it will be easy for your son, too. Good luck! My husband and I are both worried that the next few nights are going to be miserable with our son trying to sleep comfortably without his helmet. Thank you all! Guest guest
My ortho told me that it is common for babies to have adjustment problems when they are a little older. Toddlers tend to form attachments to the band. My refused to take hers off at our exit appointment and insisted on wearing it home. Our ortho told us that was fine - that we could do it gradually for her or we could even do a big "goodbye" party for the helmet and give it to a stuffed animal to wear. In our case, I chose to have her continue to wear it at night because i thought I was seeing regression in her head. The next morning, I took the helmet off to dress her and just didn't put it back on. She went to daycare without it and seemed to forget about it. You could do a gradual process and start with a day or so of only night time wear so that he can get used to napping without it. Then, you could take it off at night as well. It probably woudln't take long unless there is a real separation anxiety issue with it as my ortho suggested happens in some cases. , mom to , 2.5 years STARband grad May 2009 Chiro and CST land Graduation Day We just got back from Hanger this morning and were told that WE ARE DONE!!!
