If she ever had to take anything like we do, she'd be comatose. Rhonda My cousin's wife falls asleep from taking plain ol' Tylenol too. I have a friend who gets drowsy from aspirin. Meds that are supposed to calm you down make my sister climb the walls. My mom can take Oxycontin, Lortab, Neurontin...all kinds of stuff and they barely faze her at all. One Nubain injection practically drove her insane. I can Tylox with no problem, but other meds with Codeine give me all kinds of bad side effects. Humans are strange creatures lol. Btw, do any of ya'll take Vistaril? My shrink put me on it for Anxiety attacks, but told me to only use it when needed because it would sedate me. So far, I can't tell a difference. {{{Hugs}}} Jacqui Jacqui McCallister Age: 39 Dx'd with FMS: 1995, but symptoms since 1984 Additional Illnesses: Papillary Thyroid Cancer spread to lungs, Intra-Occular Migraines, TMJ, Allergies, Periodontitis, Mitral Valve Prolapse, IBS, Arthritis, MPS and CFS, Osteopenia, Bunions, Heel Spur, Light/Smell/Sound Sensitivties, Edema, Unstable Blood Pressure, Palpitations, Rapid Heartbeat, Insomnia, Depression, Panic Attacks Location: Ridgeview, West Virginia USA Divorced, no kids. Soma is just carisoprodol and acetaminophen. It is available over the counter in many places. Heck, you can buy it online without a prescription. For me, it has about as much affect as other over the counter drugs like aspirin or robaxacet. I guess different people really do react differently to stuff.:-) Lyndi

I have friends who are just knocked flat by Ultram; for me, it's about as effective as a sugar cube. Flexeril didn't do that much, but Soma is like WHEEEE, I'm totally stoned. Guest guest
Heck, a woman that I used to work with couldn't take tylenol at work because it would make her fall asleep! *Tylenol,* just regular over the counter stuff! Guest guest
When my allergies were a lot worse, my allergist recommended Sudafed (just the regular stuff), and it would make me drowsy. When I told my Dr.'s about it, they told me that was 'impossible', because there isn't anything in them to make me sleepy! Hey, since I just mentioned Sudafed, I thought I'd mention this: I have a friend who is Epileptic, and no one over the years told her to stay away from anything like Sudafed. Last year she had terrible problems with her allergies, and she had two seizures in about 6 weeks time. They ran all the tests, and they showed that her meds were with in the right zone for taking care of her epilepsy, then after talking to her for quite some time, they found out about the Sudafed. She stopped it, and hasn't had a problem since. I always like to mention this, because it's a simple over the counter drug that we sure didn't think would cause her any problems. Do they sell Soma OTC in Canada? Are any of the topical creams for pain in Canada, any better than what we can buy in the States? Geez, it might be worth a trip!! Thanks for the info. Guest guest
Lemme see :-) Robaxacet and Robaxacin(sp? are just methocarbamol with either aspirin or acetaminophen. They don't do a thing for me, but then even a dose of morphine doesn't do much for me. I'm one of those people who can take darned near anything and not 'feel' it. As far as topicals go, I've never found one that does me any good. I'm just as happy with some Ben Gay as I am with something prescribed. At least the Ben Gay smells like it's doing something:-) You don't have to make a trip to Canada for most things. You can purchase through on line pharmacies. I've ordered from Mexican pharmacies too and had good success. Same drugs, same boxes, same companies, waaay cheaper. Lyndi dpmonk@... wrote: > > Lyndi, > does Robaxacet help your symptoms?
