Guest guest
Hi Everyone,Kiersten was banded today in Charlotte. First, I met some really nice moms and babies in the office I hope a couple of them join us. It was all very de ja vu. She has the same therpist and everything. She also is unique in her headshape - not true flattening on one side which we knew. She has under the back of the head flattening but not brachy?? Probably makes no sense and is difficult to see in photos. Hers really appears to be tied to the tort. Anyway she barely noticed it going on even though she was not fond of the circumference measurement to check her growth from cast (3 mm versus na's 8 mm for her first band - no longer the Charlotte record, recently a child grew 1 whole cm). She touched it a few times and then went about her business. They checked her neck and felt she had some major improvement. She never tilted bad but she had a lot of tightness. Now she has one muscle - back left tying into base of skull - that has tightness and no tilt. So we will continue the stretches. She got it at 9:30 and we went back at 1:30. They made some adjustments the first time and then one small one in the afternoon. She has one point of irritation that we put some 1/2% hydrocortizone on - where her eczema is on the left sideburn. Therapist saw the irritation right away and said we should treat tonight which we did. She napped in it between appointment Then napped most of the way home (150 miles). Turns out she just woke up (10 PM) (vomitted everywhere - yes it's back those from chat who know) and no red spots and the irritation is faded significantly. She seems to be adapting well. Oh it rides very low on the eyebrows because the back part is not filled in. Once it fills in it will hold better and not ride so low. If they had cut it higher it wouldn't hold well when it starts to fill in - does that make sense. So, it's going to drive me crazy fixing it frequently.I've already added some snowmen stickers - na helped. na liked Kiersten's new hat as she called it.I'm trying to figure out how to put the picture in the post ( knows how to do this). Oh well I'll just post and add the photos to the regular section. They are in the K folder named Kiersten.mom to na, 2 1/2 yrs, DOC Grad, Feb 04Kiersten, 7 1/2 months, DOC 1/10/06, tortwww.thefilyaws.com
