Guest guest
I'm A+ as is my son with all the autoimmune issues. My 16 year old daughter goes in for her scope next Friday and we all (doc included) think she'll soon join our gluten free ranks. She is A+ also. We could be AO, not AA - don't know this. Guest guest
Your kids could also be type O if you and your husband are A+. Not saying they are, just saying it is also genetically possible. Re: blood types Both my husband and I (both celiac) are A+. Guest guest
This pops up on celiac boards every now and then and there appears to be nothing to it. The percentage of people with celiac who have O blood is the same as the general population (very high). Same with the other types. richard > > > > Hello, i was just wondering what every ones blood > types were. my > friend > > who is studing nutriton said that the blood type o > does not tolerate > > gluten or dairy very well. i am type O+. i was > just wondering if this > > could be a factor with celiacs. Guest guest
Since statistically O is the most common blood type, it would stand to reason that most celiacs would have this blood type. I'm A+, the second most common type. See http://www.craigmedical.com/blood_typing_facts.htm if interested for more info on blood types. Guest guest
Anytime I've seen this done in other groups. the distribution follows the normal distribution patterns for the demographics of the greater group. In other words, if the email list holds mostly North Americans of Northern European descent, the blood patterns will follow that general population's plot. Anyhow, I'm ABneg. Doing my part to be different. ygg
