Guest guest
My husband and I have an opportunity to go to Puerto Rico in February. We worry how Liliana will handle the heat. Also we are concerned with how people in public will react to it. Forgive me if this is not the case, but it seems to me that people are more image-conscious and open about making observations or comments about your child directly to you. Do you know other children in Puerto Rico who have bands? I ask this realizing I've never run into anyone else with a band except at our CT appointments. Has your experience in dealing with people's reactions been about the same as what others on this message board report? We want a vacation and neither one of us is up for defending our decision to band our daughter. While my husband is hearing the call of the palm trees, we'll probably delay our trip until after Liliana graduates which will be about the first week of April. I think I worry more about family reactions than anyone else and there's nothing I can do to avoid them except delay my trip. Any input is welcome.
