Guest guest Posted May 14, 2001 Report Share Posted May 14, 2001 Hi Tami! What works for me is brute force. I set my alarm clock, and I force myself out of bed. We have a dog who HAS TO GO!!! Plus, I have a 3 year old and as many other animals as NOAH (or at least that is how it feels sometimes!). So, what I have found is that since I KNOW that I have things to do, I force myself up! The more I keep myself busy, the easier it is to forget about all of the pain! I read somewhere that for every day you spend in bed, it takes 3 days to recoup. After my brain surgery, I was unable to do much. Within a week of that surgery, I had pushed myself to do at least 1/2 of my chores, including dealing with 4 parrots that missed me soooo much!
