Guest guest
Steph, You bet! I include all my oils in the lye calculation, regardless of when it's added. I think that the idea for adding at trace isn't so much that the oils won't get turned into soap, it's that the soap MAY get the benefits of some bit of castor or shea or other rich oil being leftover after curing. Anybody else? Also, if I'm using goat's milk at trace, I usually make my soap a bit lye heavier than usual (I use the 6% discount, instead of the 8%). That way the fat in the milk is accounted for, at least somewhat. Anybody know the SAP equivalent for goat's milk? How do the rest of you milk soaper's account for the milkfat? Thanks, >....does the castor you're adding at trace get accounted for when >calculating your lye..meaning is it included in your total oils amount to >calc the lye even though you're adding at trace? > >thanks, >STeph ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com
