Guest guest
Hi there! Been lurking here a while. I've seen a number of posts referring to " deviation " as measured in mm and approximating severity. Which measurement is this? We did a CT evaluation and have a handy-dandy " Clinical Anthropometric Form, " but I'm not sure which number we're talking about here. Is there a reference page you could refer me to? Are we talking about " Traditional Cranial Vault Asymmetry, " [defined as (fzR-euL)-(fzL-euR)], or " Cranial Vault Asymmetry, " [(fzR-OcpL)-(fzL-OcpR)]? Carson is 14 mm on one, and 23 on the other. Or is it something else? I guess you can see I'm confused. Thanks in advance! andy

Guest guest
Andy, You've got it right. The asymmetries we talk about are Traditional Cranial Vault and Cranial Vault, really any asymmetry - ears, eyes too. Guest guest
So when you said in an earlier post that 16-17mm is severe, was that referring to traditional cranial vault? Thanks for the link. I checked it out. I didn't see anything about relative severity based on the measurements, though. Is there a resource you know of for that? Thanks for the help! andy > > > > Hi there! Been lurking here a while. I've seen a number of posts > referring to " deviation " as > > measured in mm and approximating severity. Guest guest
Andy, Generally when you hear us talking about mm and severity we are using the Trans Cranial Vault figures from the form you got. If we are talking about ears we are talking about the skull base asymmetry and facial is mid face. I hope this helps. CAROLG > > > > > > Hi there! Been lurking here a while.
