(IBS) I use my muscles and things close down in the sinus area, too. They will do the same thing just if I lie down to go to bed. Darcy - I am sure if you have major allergy problems it is even worse for you. I have mentioned this to my PCP but not really gotten an answer. I use saline drops to keep the sinus blockage as fluid as possible. I put an antibiotic cream in the nasal passages to keep the build up from getting to dried up to be able to blow out of my nose. Forgive the graphic nature of the reply - I imagine there are better ways to deal with the condition. If anyone else knows on please post. Also - I get scalp sores during a flare. Needless to say, this means I'm always fighting my sinuses to drain. I've had my second course of antibiotics since August because of a sinus infection. Years ago, the military did regular x-rays of my sinuses and said they were fine. I don't know if a cat scan would turn anything up or not.
