Guest guest
I want to do an independent review in Georgia. UHC has already switched their denial reason on me from " orthotics exclusion " (even though they funded our first band) to " failure to contact care coordination " (even though care coordination was contacted). Their HMO maze is one of the most infuriating bureaucracies that I have ever dealt with. I am a public school teacher so I must go through the State Health Benefit Plan. So far, I haven't found the right person at SHBP to talk to re: independent review. Even though it's on their website, several employees have told me, " we don't do that here. " I am writing my senator (chair of the insurance committee), again, because he did respond to my first letter. Good luck, Martha! in Atlanta -- In Plagiocephaly , martha huff < kcgrown@y...> wrote: > > I have UHC too. My daughter Graduated in 08 of 04. The state recieved a letter, after going completly through the system of UHC, and then some, stating that this independent review board was an option. I am of course sceptical of UHC and if it is even an option. The state is waiting to hear back as to weather UHC is now dening due to not medically necessary or experimental, because if I can go to an indepandent review than it must fall under one of these two. Of course they are going to have to say it is one or the other, which so far it has not been either. What was your letter to the independent review addressing? any help is appreciated. > Thank you, > > Martha > DOC Band Grad > > > rmanias <manias@c...> wrote: > It depends on the policies of your state.
