Best wishes for your date! Yes didn't the wait go by fast? I'm

starting to dream about the surgery also. I went to the closed pre-op

meeting on Tuesday and stuff really started sinking in. I hadn't

thought about pain, catheters, IVs, etc. too much... Oh my.

My friends from Indianna are coming to visit in the first week of

October and I'm starting to plan stuff out. I literally have to stop in

my tracks because I'll plan on bringing some alcohol, then stop and say

" well duh, I won't be able to drink. " Then I plan on treating them to

restaurant and say " duh, I won't be on solids yet. " Then I planned on

taking them to The Flume but " duh, I won't be able to hike the flume

after surgery. "

This is really going to take some getting used to!!

Anyone else out there having their surgery at NWH on August 27?
