Guest guest
Some Cranial Tech offices used to give out packages that helped with appeals. Probably depends on the office. Our office was in Chicago If they are covering some -- but not all, of the treatment it would probably be a different type of letter than if it was completely denied. For example, you would probably want to get information about how they characterize the molding device (some companies call them " durable medical equipment, " for example) -- then find out how much they cover other devices in the same category. (Such as if they cover 80% for other devices, but only 40% for your device.) The insurance files here are very, very helpful. There is a Question/Answer site that I put together for the Positional Plagiocephaly Parents' Support website. It several years old, but some things may still be relavent and may give you some ideas. http://www.plagiocephaly.org/support/insurance.htm Good luck.
