Guest guest
Good catch, . The tostada shells and taco shells do seem to have different ingredients. Weird...I've never noticed a reaction eating the tacos there. Ok, let's stop talking about tacos before I get too hungry. Another thing I have noticed recently that is somewhat troubling are " Green Guru " entrees in my local Whole Foods. They are clearly labeled gluten free on the front of the package, yet the back (in fine print, of course) says the entree may contain traces of wheat and some other allergens. *sigh* --E ________________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________________ Message: 7 Date: Thu, 12 Jan 2006 09:16:58 -0500 Subject: Re: Digest Number 1417 The taco shells contain oat fiber according to their newest ingredient list. Don't know when they made the change. Re: Digest Number 1417 I have had pretty good luck with Taco Bell by ordering regular crispy tacos and substituting beans for meat. They use the same beans as they use in the pintos and cheese, so a couple tacos with beans instead of meat and a pintos and cheese on the side (with my own GF chips) is what I get when I go there. --E ________________________________________________________________________

Guest guest
I have contacted Taco Bell in the past (don't have exact reply to share) but the gist was that nothing is safe. Lanier Hillsborough, NC

Guest guest
I just ate two Tostada's for lunch Ok, stressful day at work and boy were they good. For the longest time they were off the menu and have just recently returned. Another posted stated that they were flour - in Michigan they are corn (and safe). Maybe it's a regional thing? Our celiac in the family doesn’t react, so I count on all of you to keep me up to date on things. We’ve never tried Taco Bell, but I gotta tell you. The whole family is sick to death of Mcs even though we are grateful to have that option. I don’t know if any of you have a Bonanza Steakhouse. They go out of their way to help with gf items. Last time they opened a brand new 1lb. Butter package and put the whole thing on our table for one little baked potato. They tried so hard to be accomodating, but it did cost something like $46 for 2 small children and 2 adults. Not an every day choice for fast food. > > > > > > >

Guest guest
I love the Tostada's and add onions and sour cream to my pintos and cheese. The rice is good, kind of spicy.
