Suggestions of topics for study:

1) Treatment

* Why do some women re-scar after surgery and others don't? Is there any

relationship between the spot where the person has the scars and

possibilities of re-scaring (for example: cervix)?

* What are the possible " bad " outcomes and its relatioship to the kind of

treatment used: for example I think there has been lots of talks about i/c after

As. Someone once said that the more surgeries you have the more likely you are

of having i/c. Is this reality? Or for example someone that said she has

developed hormonal issues after As (and all the high doses of estrogen). What

kind of treatment causes less damage for a woman's future fertility.

2) Prevention/ Education

* I think it would be interesting to investigate effective ways of informing

doctors about As. The possibility of As after D & C's in a post-partum situation

and the importance of being careful in the procedure. I know doctors probably

have this as a topic in their course, but is obviously not being well

noticed, or we wouldn't be all here. Why is that still happening? Why doctors

are not getting the message? Why everyone is " entitled " to scrap a little

bit more? Why do we still get a registrar to do a D & C if this should be

considered a high risk procedure for causing As? Why do women that have had a

D & C performed, in a post partum situation do not get any warning on As? Maybe

this is not so much medical stuff, but I think it would be very

interesting anyway. Also if this group has grown in 100 members in less than a

year (not counting the ones that leave the group) I wonder how rare is

this syndrome. Maybe a review of cases?
