Guest guest
Hi, Are you in a bigger city that may have a clinic that you can go to for help? Most larger cities have clinics that you can see a doctor and get billed later. They work with you on payments that you can afford. There is no reason in this contry that anyone should have to suffer thru something like this with out the aid of a doctor. I lived in stown PA and it is tiny and even they have a free clinic. You may have to tell the doctor what you think it is, or if you have seen a doc in the past who told you what it is, then you can take your records with you. Hell if I was in pain I would go to the ER and tell them what is wrong and see what they can do to help. Most public hospitals will even help with Aid for the bills. And any County Hospital or Univ. Run Hospital must see you no matter if you can pay or not. Good luck, Joan

Guest guest
I previoulsy worked in the accounting department of a hospital. We had a charity plan, where if you made under a certain amount per year, your care was a write off for the hospital. This certification was good for 1 year. Then, every year thereafter, you had to bring your financial papers back in and get re-certified. To find out more about it, call your local hospital and ask for billing or collections, and they can tell you who handles that area. Usually they will have a councilor that handles only charity. Our charity, like most other hospitals, covered everything, including doctors visits to providers who were affiliated with the hospital. Take care! Lyndi aslo made a suggestion of a pulsating shower. I also use this every night (almost) we went and bought a shower head made by waterpik...it works wonders...turn it on as hot as you can handle it and just let it hit all your sore spots...I have a really really small bathroom so I crank up my heater in the bathroom, plus the hot, hot shower and I create my own lil sauna..its great...) I wish you the best of luck...Oh something else to try is Rice Socks...Get you some Mens tube socks and some rice ( old fashioned rice, not minute rice) and put in the sock...put that in the microwave for 2 min. and lay that all over your body where ever it hurts...I have about 15 of these made up..they work wonders...Best of luck to you..God bless and Gentle hugzzz Allicia

Guest guest
I have also used that Green rubbing alochol (with mint oil) or something like that in it. It really helps ease the pain in my legs, back and mostly my hips. Joan

Guest guest
Oh Serena, you aren't doing anything wrong! I don't know how your body reacts to things, but mine goes into a flare really fast and then takes it's own sweet time coming back out of one. The heated waterbed sounds like a really good idea. (I sleep on an air bed). I imagine a soak or six in the tub (with some epsom salts or something) would likely help. Or a pulsating shower. Some more xanax with a pain killer. A good book. A silly movie that makes you laugh. Time. Guest guest
Lyndi, Yea souds like we react a lot the same way.. I guess I was just hopeful because the pain was worse this time than normal... and lasted for longer.. I did the pulsating shower thing this morning too.. and I've been playing with mom's parrots all morning.. they are great... one of them likes to cuddle.. the other likes to very lightly vhew on my fingers.. unfortunately he lukes to do that when I am trying to get him to sit on my finger.. I don't have any good pain pills.. the xanax is it.. and I need to get some orudis or aleve.. because advil and tylenol no longer help.. have you or anyone had good luck with either of those? Thank you so much for replying.. I read my first book on fibro.. it was a book of the latest stuff on fibro.. can't remember the title exactly but there was a book in the same series on bipolar... whats a pain management dr... I mean.. the title is self explanatory.. but what do they do? I used to think that either everyone felt like this.. and so I shouldn't complain or try and fix it.. or it was just in my head.. and so I shouldn't complain or try and fix it.. I should have known something was wrong.. when I was sixteen and my shoulders and neck were always so tight I was begging friends to rub them.. and they couldn't get the muscles to move at all.. but I didnt.. and then again.. when I couldn't walk through hartsfield Airport.. without one hip screaming.... \ oops/. sorry this is prolly longer than it should have been.. Guest guest
Thanks Missy.. I didnt know about that.. there is a hospital in newbern.. hopefully they will have something... I never thought it would come to this.. I've never been in a profession perse.. but I've always had a good job... etc.. and I always had a good insurence plan.. that even coverened existing conditions... this scares me a little.. 've been off work a year.. I moved a couple of times.. couldn't find jobs in between.. and then went to take care of a friend of mine in atlanta and of course they didnt pay for insurence... I'm sorry.. i'm just scared.. especially since I just figured out that all this pain isnt normal... I still feel like such a whimp for not dealing.. I did for years.. but... I'm so tired of it..
