Guest guest
I'm hoping to adopt in the very near future, and want to begin pumping. There are two breast pumps available here for rental. Both are double electric pumps, one made by Medula, the other by Ameda Egnell. I can rent the second a little cheaper, and it was also recommended by the pharmacist because it comes with a one- handed manual pump (the Medula manual requires two hands). I would appreciate advice on which one to rent. Thanks. Kathi
Guest guest
Kathi, It would depend on the model. You should be renting a hospital0-grade double electric pump which would be a Lactina or other such model. If they are trying to rent you a Pump In Style or Purely Yours, they aren't powerful enough. If they are renting a Lactina or Ameda hospital-grade pump then it really doesn't matter. I have used both the Lactina and Ameda pump (can't remember the name) and found both equally useful. I definitely like the Ameda hand pump better than the Medela but personally would buy an Avent ($40 at target) if you are need of a hand pump. Guest guest
I love my Pump In style by Medela! It works great but is very expensive $250.
