Guest guest
, So sorry to hear that Kiersten didn't improve as much as hoped for, but at least you are in good hands. That's great that you were able to go ahead and get casted. When does the band come in? Wow now you will really have to update the family website to include two babies on the plagio page. I hope she keeps enough holding points to get the correction you need. CAROLG > > Well Kiersten had her follow-up at CT yesterday. She still has a > bit of asymmetry. Guest guest
, That sounds like a great eval. I am so glad you liked the lady too. What a great thing to have her coming on a preventitive schedule. I had read that many babies with tort also have GE Reflux, was she checked for this? I went through that with . When you go out for the toothbrush look for the whole oral care kit made by safety first. It has a gum stimulator, infant toothbrush, and a toddler toothbrush. That's what we used for Dominick when we did the desensitizing. They work great and the more textures the better. I also used the slip on the finger brushes, they were great at the beginning. Guest guest
Kiersten is now 9 months old and has been in her DOC band since 1/10/06 - so 8 weeks. She is seeing great correction. Her forehead looks good, her ears are moving, and the back of her head is rounding. CT thinks 4-6 more weeks. She is now crawling - well army crawl. This is a new development. She has tort and has been in PT since the beginning of November. She also has had e/i since mid-January. She can't yet pull herself all the way up or get herself into a seated position. We're working on those. Insurance in it's infinite wisdom seems to think she needs no more PT after 3/16/06. She missed Monday because they were reviewing her case. ERGH The PT had asked for like 8 more visits over the next 2-3 months. We were just about to go to every other week. She was sick with double ear infection and bronchitis in Feb so we lost 2 weeks of PT and e/i. The tilt came back just a little bit. So we were going to do a couple more 1/week then go to the every other. Her PT is working on getting it straightened out. I took both girls to CT yesterday. They just loved seeing na. She looks so much older than she is (3 in June). She is very tall. The clinican was looking at na's head and said she couldn't see anything She graduated with 3 mm cranial vault and 4 mm ears. At Kiersten's casting in Dec na measured 2 mm cranial vault and 3 mm ears. She graduated at 8 1/2 months and was very mobile, never in one spot long, not even while sleeping. Anyway she only corrected one additional mm - so all those drs that think a child will correct 6- 10 -15+ mm on their own is full of it Just my soapbox for the day. na, DOC Grad Feb 04, Tort Resolved Kiersten, DOC Band 1/10/06, Tort www.thefilyaws.com

Guest guest
, That is great news about Kiersten. How interesting that you have the unique chance to have na checked after so much time out, how helpful that is to everyone. I hope that you can get insurance to continue PT, I just don't understand them sometimes. CAROLG > > Kiersten is now 9 months old and has been in her DOC band since > 1/10/06 - so 8 weeks.
