Guest guest
Dear : I am unaware of any organiztion, professional or civic minded, that receives cranial orthotic bands (helmets) because the bands or helmets " can not " be reused for any other child with plagiocephaly. Accordingly, each cranial orthotic is made specifically for each child's specific cranial head shape to be corrected. However, I have several pediatricians and other medical professional that could utilize a child's " used band " or " helmet " to help educate other parents with children diagnosed with plagiocephaly, physicians, and other medical professionals regarding the medical necessity, proper medical application, and possible future child stabilizations and structural corrections to their heads. I only offer this suggestion in order to help spread the awareness with parents and the medical community regarding children afflicted with plagiocephaly and other related cranial birth defects and deformities. If you have further question regarding this topic, please contact me at: superdave450@... or d.a.schultz@... Sincerely, A. Guest guest
Thanks . I just figured maybe some organization could do some kind of refit. I sort of knew the answer but I know caring and informed moms often know of things that regular people don't. Thanks for your response. My son responded excellently to his helmet and was in it for a brief period of time. I wish I had found you all when he was diagnosed and getting fit and first wearing the thing!!! Thanks again and good luck to all.
