Hi there,

My son had his DOCband put on at 4 3/4 months. He HATED it for the first week and is still not a big fan! He is getting better, though! Hang in there...I think some babies just need a bit more time to get used to having a "foreign contraption" on their heads! My son wasn't hot or sweaty at all - just clawed and ripped and lashed his head around trying to get it off!!! Sleeping is still an issue but not as bad as at first....I believe it does get better as we are seeing signs that he is getting used to it.

Hang in there! I know how frustrating it is to be so helpless - you know that if you were to just remove it he would be happy...but they need it so we can't take it off!!! :) UGH!

Let us know how things go...and very best to you and your son,

Mommy to Wes in Dallas (5mo. old in DOCband for almost 2 weeks)

Hello all, I am new to the group. My 4 1/2 mth old son just got the

Starband helmet a few days ago. He is Very fussy when he has it on.

We made sure that the helmet wasn't making him too hot or leaving any

red marks, chafing, etc and we have been adhering to the schedule so

far (today was his first 23 hr day). I believe that he just doesn't

like it. Did anyone else have this experience? Did your baby adjust

after time? I just wish that he were his usual happy self. Any input

is welcome. Thanks!

Hi ,

Welcome to the group! I see has already told you about her son.

It just takes some babies some time to adjust. Hopefully your son will

adjust sooner than later. Keep us posted on his progress.
