weird question maybe??

Hey, i have a weird question... tomorrow i'll be a week post-op and

i'm doing great! The first 2 days were definetly the hardest and i

regretted it, but now i feel totally different!.. Anyway.. my

question is..

I had upper/lower and genio and i'm not wired/banded.. and i got

brave and decided to a tiny bit of exploring in my mouth with my

tongue. I moved my tongue to the back of my mouth near my back

molars and on the side of the cheek and it feels like a round knob is

attached from my gum above my back molar or possibly the outside of

the tooth (like the back bracket band) is attached to my cheek.. i'm

possibly going crazy.. lol.. but its definetly something i havnt

felt before.. Plus thats the only part of my mouth thats bothering

me.. when i smile, and i try not to cuz it hurts, it feels like that

area is pulling...

I hope that was a good explanation.. i'm sure most of you are

like " this girl needs help " lol.. but its just weird.. does anyone

else feel this???? lol

Oh, i do have another quesition while i'm here.. hehe.. Are the

stitches disolvable?? I never even thought about asking my

surgeon.. And anytime i've had surgery they have been.. I have no

idea what it feels like to get stiches out... Even though i guess i

still have 5 weeks to worry about it, but still..

Hi Becca,

I'm not sure if I had the same thing. But, when I was banded, the

fleshy part of my check kinda grew an extra piece that fitted between

my molars. Since then, that fleshy piece as be resorbed back ...

It was weird ...
