Kathy,

My heart goes out to you for having to deal with this once again.

I'm sure the first time was hard enough. I'm not sure but I don't think a 5

year old can comprehend such an emotional and terrible thing. Dying and death

are always difficult to discuss. I think when the time comes you'll know what

to tell her. And what about you? How are you going to make it through again?

Is there someone you can talk to? You can contact me if you need to. I wish

you and your family the best, and hope your mother-in-law does not have to

endure too much.

KATHY My heart goes out to you and your family. I will keep you in my

prayers.

I do know that there are books available for small children " :why did my nana

die " type books.. I remember getting one for my daughter who was around the

same age when she lost 2 grandmothers and a very close aunt. It is something

to keep in mind. Good Luck and enjoy the time you do have together.

Please think of my family...

Hi All,

I just had to share ..... My heart was broken today.

My mother-in-law of 10 yrs. was operated on today for what we

now know is cancer. The Dr. had planned on going into her

back(some on her spine) and then through the front to get what

they thought was another tumor. They did the back fine and

would not operate on the front because the tumor is highley

malignant.

I can not express the sadness I feel . All i can do is sit here an

cry my heart out.

The thought of my kids loosing there Grandma is almost too

much. Dammit she is only 57 yrs. old. My daughter has been

Grandma's girl since the day she was born. How do I tell her???

She is only five.

My Dad died almost 3 yrs ago of cancer. I don't want to do this

again.

We will be there Wednesday as we have planned this all

summer. I'm not sure what to tell my kids, all they know of

cancer is my Dad dying. Beepa and Grandma's house is always

so much fun for them.

My mother-in-law is probaly going to be transfered to the Mayo

Clinic in Rochester,MN so I think that we will spend our

" vacation " in Minneapolis.

Sorry to ramble on so much but this is tearing me up..........

Love,

Kathy V.
