The City of Spearman and Hansford County Hospital District are

joining forces to create an incentive stipend program for qualified

individuals to take transfers from Hansford County Hospital to higher

level of care facilities. If you are an EMT-B, EMT-I, EMT-P or LP,

living within a one hour response time to Spearman and would like to

earn extra income utilizing your EMT skills, you are invited to join

Spearman's H & S EMS organization as a member of the Transfer Team.

We know that time away from your family is valuable. That's why we

are offering stipend payments for any transfers performed for H & S EMS

by Transfer Team personnel. Please see the schedule below for

incentive stipend amounts.

Transfers less than 50 miles from HCHD (i.e. Borger, ton)

EMT-B $75

EMT-I $100

EMT-P/LP $120

Transfers greater than 50 miles (Amarillo, Lubbock)

EMT-B $200

EMT-I $225

EMT-P/LP $250

If you are interested in becoming a member of the HCHD/H & S EMS

Transfer Team, or would like more information, please contact Kim

King, RN EMT-B at Hansford County Hospital District (806)659-5875.

**If you are licensed in another state and are interested in pursuing

reciprocity for this program, the costs for this may be covered for

you.

FAQ about the Transfer Team Program:

1. How will I know if I'm needed to take a transfer?

The Transfer Team Members will call the Transfer Team

Coordinator or the shift charge nurse and place themselves on call

for as little as a few hours or up to 5 concurrent days. At the end

of the 5th day on call you can call and renew your call time.

2. Do I have to stay in Spearman when I'm on call?

We ask that you maintain a one hour response time to Spearman

if you are on-call.

3. If I am on call, will I have to make transfers for other

hospitals?

All transfers made by Transfer Team members will be patients

from HCHD going to higher level of care facilities or patients that

are being transferred to HCHD for rehabilitaion or long term care

programs.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to call.

Thank you,

Kim King RN, EMT-B

Transfer Team Coordinator

Hansford County Hospital District/H & S EMS
