Hi AmyR--

You are so funny. Well, if I do get pg next month and run into

problems, those evil nurses will definitely have continued reason to

call me their " problem child. " I'm still thinking ... but did chat

with dh about it over lunch. He seems to be okay with it.

I have to call the dr's office when I get af. I need to ask for a

refill of prenatal vitamins. Then I go for the U/S. I'm hoping I

can though the phone call and the U/S without anyone mentioning

anything about a " test. " If they mention it, I might feel too guilty.

Hey ,

Yes, I can take clomid (which I'll be taking anyway next month) and

just sneak in a few ttc attempts. (I'm not supposed to ttc.) I did

talk to my husband today about it to tell him my sneaky little plot.

I think he'll go for whatever I decide.

In answer to your question, I definitely FEEL I should go for it, but

THINK the dr might be upset if I do and if something bad happens.

That old tug between heart and mind ...

Hey --

Ha--actually, yes I did! I'm still wavering. I keep thinking what

will an additional month of waiting hurt me--I've already waited 6

months. I'll keep pondering this. Thanks so much for your thoughts!

case .. did you go to law school? LOL!

I was wondering what the dr. reason was for not trying and having a test

cycle?? I mean if you get pg during the test cycle, than the test was a

success, right?? Unless, they have some strong medical reason not to try, I

say go for it!!

Just my opinion!

I had to read a bit more to understand the clomid thing and why the dr wants

you to wait. If I understand right, the risk is a mc if the clomid isn't

doing what the dr is expecting it will do, right? If that's the issue, then

my 2 cents would be these: It is your body and your risk, so you get to

decide, and if it were me it would be very hard to wait, expecting that the

clomid would work and all would turn out fine if ttc led to pg. The dr is

none the wiser that you were ttc if you don't get pg, and if the worse case

scenario happened, you don't owe him anything more of an explanation than

" oops. " If all goes swimmingly and you get pg and it is all fine because of

the clomid, you just smile really big when you say " oops. " Maybe not good

advice, I don't know, but you just have to go with what you feel is best for

you taking into consideration the risks (and it does sound like you have

been thinking this through in A LOT of detail).

Did I understand right about worrying about having to call the dr for

prenatal vitamins and fearing that your secret of ttc might be given away?

I wasn't sure if that was what I read, but if it is, you can also just by a

bottle of them over the counter for the time being if you wanted to.

Good luck in your decision. We support you whether you can tolerate the

wait or do what most of us think we might be inclined to do and go for it

early.

Girl, after what you've been through the past 6 months of so, you've got the

patience of a Saint! You do whatever your heart and body tells you to do and

I have very very little knowledge about clomid and your dr's proposed plan of

action, so I can't offer you an opinion that would make any sense... but I

just wanted to let you know that I am praying for you no matter which

decision you make, and that in the end, things work out great!

This is a hard one. I can see why you don't want to wait any longer.

I agree that the Clomid probably will help. If it were me I would

probably not want to wait any longer. What does your dh think you

should do? Like you said if you don't get pg your dr will never know.

I would probably go for it.

Hi Maggie,

Thanks so much for responding. You have it exactly right--the risk

would be another mc (I had recurrent (3) mcs before the ep). It's

kind of hard to explain the whole test cycle thing, but you've got it

right--it's simply a precautionary measure to make sure my

progesterone is capable of getting to a good level. I'm very

confident that it will.

I'm still thinking about this and appreciate your comments so much! I

love your statement about saying " oops " with a big smile on my face.

Thanks again,

Thanks Pam--

I think my dh thinks it's my body and it's my decision. I also think

he doesn't want me to run into any more trouble. Thanks for your

thoughts--I know you can relate to the anxiousness I feel. Chances

are I won't get pg on my first attempt anyway.

Hope you are feeling good (well not too good)!
