Guest guest
Hello. The Hanger Cranial Band is basically the same as the STARband. Looks pretty much the same, and works the same way. The Hanger band, at least how it designed, is an active band like the STAR and DOC are. it has pressure points and holding points and redirects the growth of the head to fill in the flat spots and hold the " buldging " areas. Sometimes an Orthotist can alter a band in a way that makes it more passive (meaning that the head just grows into the bands inner shape and adjustments aren't needed as often/foam isn't taken out really. 's Hanger band was active and we went in every 2-3 weeks to have foam shaved out. There have been times where Orthos have made a STAR or Hanger band passive... though that is not how they are designed to work. Good luck!
