I hope this finds everyone well today. Had a very nice time

yesterday with Dh and dinner was great but went way overboard both at the movies

and with dinner. Tonights menu is:

Morningstar fake bacon and lettue and tomato sandwiches

Brocoli salad

Mint Skiny cows

I just found those and they are wonderful!!!! What is on your menu today?

Glad you both had a great time! Well we found out when we returned from our

trip that my dh's mother has terminal cancer. They are giving her two

weeks. She is a fighter though, so I will give her longer. DH has gone to

the hospital, but she has not wanted anyone else to see her yet. She didn't

even want me to know! Anyway, my FIL called today and said we should tell

the kids. So I'm not sure what are how things will be for awhile.

I'm glad that I'm officially allowed to know now, I did not sleep at all

last night, now I can start to come to terms with this my way, which is

talking about it. Hope you all don't mind. ( I know you won't). Anyway I

need to take the kids out to get suits probably so I will get a salad from

the mall, as DH is planning on staying at the hospital to give his father a

break.

We are having a skillet supper: turkey polska kielbasa cut into

chunks with sliced potatoes, green pepper and onion with a little

seasoning. I just throw it all in together and simmer till done. I

have used beer in the skillet before to add flavor and help cook the

potatoes . It is yummy and the alcohol cooks out of it. I think we

are out of beer so I might use chicken broth instead. Also having

fresh strawberry and banana fruit cups and bread from our store

bakery- not fresh and hot but it is good and tastes homemade.

Thanks Caren. She was having headaches and had some tests run for that.

They came out fine. But the blood work was off. The Dr. thought the lab

had mixed them with someone elses so he ran another test. Turns out she has

a rare case of Leukemia which is very fast acting. Talk about a shock.

Thank you for your prayers, it means a lot to us all.

such a devastating illness for everyone. I look forward to the day when

medical science has eliminated this from our lives.
