Guest guest
would you believe it ... just when you think nothing else can possible go wrong ... wait until you hear this ... tonight i have a huge event for work .... my biggest fundraiser for the year ... so i was running around like crazy taking care of all of the last minute details ... so i got back to my office and here is where it gets a little fuzzy ... i must of tripped and fell or something but I hit the big steel door on the back of our building with my face ... I stumbled into the office and went to one of my coworkers an she really took over from there .. I have cuts and abrasions all over my face ... my fore head, cheek and nose are swollen and beginning to bruise and i have a concussion ... so, joe came and got me and now i am home ... i look like hell, i am going to miss an event that i have been working on for a year and i just can't believe the bad luck streak i am on ... on the brighter side (i always try to find one) ... my assistant is awesome and I know the event will come off without a hitch with her there for me .... and Monmouth University (where I go to grad. school) is in the NCAA playoffs tonight .. so I get to see the game! Of course, the are playing Duke and have virtually no chance of winning .... oh, and my jaw hurts so much that I am going to HAVE TO eat ice cream for dinner ... (ha ha ha) i already sent joe to the store with a list of ingredients for the supper sundae! I hope everyone else's day was better than mine ... boy, do i look awful! lol! Guest guest
, OMG! You poor dear! I can't believe the string of luck, or bad luck. Hey, I admire you for looking at the bright side. If Monmouth polishes of Duke early, then the rest of us will have a better chance! LOL! Enjoy your sundae sweetie!
Guest guest
hi girls.. thanks so much for your kindness ... if you could see me now ... ugh, i don't think my cats recognize me .. they keep sniffing around like i am someone new ... joe had to go back to work for a meeting and got stuck there an hour later than he thought ... so i was just a big cry baby on the phone and yelled at him ... he said he got stuck there becaues one of his crew drove into a telephone pole ... so i start making fun of his " stellar " crew for not knowing how to drive ... and as the words are coming out of my mouth .. i realize how stupid i sound because i can't seem to walk without running into doors ... LOL! so, i guess i'm going to have to send an apology his way ... guess i'm cranky waiting for my icecream!

Guest guest
, SO I guess the saying when it rains it pours really is true. Bless your heart!! Here's hoping your event goes smoothly. I know you must be disappointed at not being able to attend but just look at the stress you are avoiding. What a nice thing to have an assistant you can count on. Hope you get to feeling better soon, and that you eat all the ice cream you want. Dana

Guest guest
Hi -- How horrible! I'm so sorry to hear what happened to you and that you have to miss your event. Do you go to Monmouth University in Monmouth, IL? I remember that my sorority was founded at that college--but maybe there is more than one Monmouth U. My alma mater was also in the playoffs today, but we lost (major upset). I hope you feel better real soon. Ouch!!
