Guest guest
During this next week or so of adjustment, he may sweat quite alot. This is normal and will stop once his body reregulates it's body temp. The key is to dress him lightly, especially at night for sleeping. The band is like wearing a wool hat indoors all the time so dress accordingly. Try to be sure that he is calm and not crying and fussing when the band is removed or he will think if he cries, it comes off. Relax, it will get easier to put on and take off. Do your skin checks, all red spots(if any) should fade to light pink or go away completely within an hour of removal, if not leave the band off and call the OT. Get on here and ask any questions you have, none are stupid, lol. Try to stick to normal routines and bedtimes, he may wake up a few times, but just do what you normallly do. Keep a positive attitude about the band, the babies feed off your emotions, so if you are negative about it then they will feel that and not want it on. Decorate it, have fun picking stickers and such. Good Luck! CAROLG --- In Plagiocephaly , " cinmarleh " <cinmarleh@y...> wrote: > > Today will be my sons first day with his DOC band.
